Fibonacci
A much discussed range of TV-stands/chests, dressers, cabinets and showcases.
Fibonacci stands for cabinets designed according to the golden ratio, a surprising combination of a timeless lay-out and superb modern materials.
The golden ratio is a mathematical formula. It has been used for centuries in nature, architecture (pyramids, Acropolis, Notre Dame), music, art (Renaissance, Mondriaan), the human body, graphic design, even in economy.
The Fibonacci cabinets are characterised by an asymmetric lay-out, determined by the golden ratio. The width of the smallest door, multiplied by 1.618, determines the width of the adjoining door. The total width of the cabinet is the sum of the widths of all doors but also the size of the widest door multiplied by 1.618.
All proportions come to an addition and a multiplication by the magical figure π (Pi). To honour the Italian mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci Pisano (1170-1250) this cabinet has been named after him.
