About us

Furniture making is a trade with both history and (family) traditions of its own. Bree’s New World originated in 1897, then called ‘Stoomtimmerfabriek De Akerboom’. The traditional steam-driven carpenter’s yard of old was transformed into a modern undertaking that manufactures modern furniture of striking design. The Van Bree family have been working in this unique furniture trade generation after generation. From the very first concept of a new furniture design up to including its delivery, craftsmen are indispensable. It is through craftsmanship, enthusiasm and feeling that the quality of the make is established. They enable us to supply furniture of superior quality in The Netherlands and abroad. In Bree’s New World these characteristics can be traced through various generations. This makes the people behind Bree’s New World superior craftsmen and they are therefore called Furniture Composers.
